Terry Loftus, from Laira,Plymouth was awarded the medal in 1979 for fearlessly jumping into the Bay of Biscay after a freighter sank in savage seas.

I have put some pictures in Gallery 13 supplied by Douglas Heath of the Tamworth Sea Cadets.Douglas said,"Today a squad of 12 Tamworth Sea Cadets supported the HMS Jupiter Association at the National Arboretum. They carried two standards for the RNA. The Fleet Air Arm and the Royal Marines along with their own Standard, ex cadet Kevin Powell carried the RNA Standard. Their attendance enhanced the parade and they were complimented for reinforcing the Naval presence. After carrying for over an hour they earned the compliment."
